This week I'm delivering, commissioning and training staff on use of a new K Schulten KS600 glass robot. This unit is capable of lifting, carrying and manipulating glass items up to 600kgs.
The fine manipulation capability of the KS600 is what sets it apart from others, and what really makes the difference for the glazier. Many robots, and indeed many other types of lifters both manual and automated, have the ability to lift weights, some have the ability to carry, but it's the fine manipulation at the final point of installation which creates the labour and time saving. The glaziers role becomes one of driving the robot and the actual function of glazing.
