Today a customer told me about a rep who calls on him and talks a lot of crap. It's the same thing this same customer told me once before. And since he worked out that the rep talks too much, he hasn't bought anything off them. Again it's the same thing the customer told me last time I visited him. Somehow this other fellow has really got under his skin, and is paying for it

So if the rep is any good he should be at least covering the basics of being interested in the customers business and trying to help them. Surely anyone who is attempting to do this, even if poorly, could never be accused of talking too much. Admittedly some business relationships just don't work out, but talking too much?
